BAND PAYMENTS & FEES

FCPS uses My School Bucks as its payment system, and most of Langley band payments are made through MySchoolBucks. (If you are new to FCPS, you may need to create an account.)

FCPS/Langley fees paid through MySchoolBucks
  • FCPS Required Fee for curricular band classes—  owed for each band student each year (regardless of  marching band participation)

  • Marching Band August Camp Fee —  owed for each marching band student each year

  • Marching Band Course Fee —  owed for each marching band student each year

  • Trip Payments —  if a student opts to join Langley band’s annual spring trip, payments are typically divided into a trip deposit, trip payment and final trip payment.

Donations & LHS Band Assocation Dues

All donations made to the Langley High School band program, as well as LHS Band Association annual dues, are made outside of MySchoolBucks.

 

Donations and dues can be made online using the website PayPal donation button or by check payable to the LHS Band Association, PO Box 7741, McLean, VA 22101.  

Donations and dues to the LHS Band Association directly and entirely support  the LHS band program. Donations, dues and fundraising are critical because most of the activities of high school band programs fall outside of the Fairfax County Public Schools budget. Money raised by the LHS Band Association pays for items such as sectionals instruction by professional musicians, instruments and equipment, marching band uniforms, transportation to competitions and scholarships to cover costs of students in need.


The LHS Band Association is a 501(c)3 organization.  All dues and donations are fully tax-deductible. The organization’s tax ID number is 54-1438588.

Other Items
  • Band Spirit Wear -- Spirit wear is available during one or two spirit wear purchase windows during the year, and is purchased directly through the spirit wear vendor. (Email the Band Association president for lower-priced inventory of prior items still available for sale.)

  • Uniforms -- Students must have their own marching band shoes (or borrow from our used inventory) and their own concert uniform. Most students already have their concert uniform, since Langley High School uses the same concert uniform as Cooper Middle School, with the addition of tuxedo coats for the guys. Concert uniform items are purchased in the fall through the vendor sites. (See uniforms page.)

  • Extra marching band show t-shirt/shorts -- Every marching band student receives one show t-shirt and one pair of shorts as part of their marching band course fee. Extras may be ordered and are payable by check to the LHS Band Assocation.
